A LIVING ECOSYSTEM DESIGN (LED) STRATEGIC ANALYSIS
Most development approval systems focus on whether a project is permitted. Living Ecosystem Design (LED) argues that the more important question is whether a city is truly prepared to support it. This article introduces the LED Integrated Feasibility Framework, a systems-based approach that aligns land use, infrastructure, mobility, environmental conditions, operational capacity, and implementation realities before costly conflicts emerge. By shifting permitting from reactive review to proactive urban systems management, cities can improve predictability, strengthen public trust, and create more resilient, investment-ready communities.
